Angie Franchino
Chief Operating Officer
Angie Franchino joined The Appellate Project in August 2025 after 20 years of experience driving growth, innovation, and impact across mission-driven organizations. Throughout her career, she has thrived at the intersection of strategy and operations—building the financial, cultural, and organizational foundations that allow teams to flourish.
Most recently as Vice President at The Children’s Partnership, a California-based nonprofit advancing child health equity, she guided the organization through a period of unprecedented growth, spearheading its first strategic plan, creating operations infrastructure, and fostering a resilient team culture during the pandemic.
Prior to that, she spent a decade at Step Up, a national nonprofit mentoring organization, where she led the organization through a few iterations by securing transformational gifts, standardizing curriculum and program evaluation, launching new chapters in Dallas and Atlanta, and doubling the team size while strengthening infrastructure nationwide.
Known as both a thoughtful strategist and a compassionate leader, Angie is committed to advancing equity and empowering teams to deliver bold, lasting impact.
Angie is passionate about ensuring our country’s systems, governments, courts and leadership better reflect the people, values, and realities of our time.
Angie received her B.S. in Journalism from Boston University and is currently located in Los Angeles, CA.
